“When routinely do checking. From it, we discovered that 11 hydrants have been cut. We do not know who did it,” stated Head of Operational Section for West Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, Abdul Wahid, Tuesday (10/21).
According to Wahid, the 11 missing hydrants were located in Grogol Petamburan Sub-District (four hydrants), Tambora Sub-District (one hydrant), Cengkareng Sub-District (two hydrants), and Taman Sari Sub-District (two hydrants), and Kalideres Sub-District (two hydrants).

At this time, Wahid admitted that his party still uses natural reservoirs, such as river water and well water, to extinguish fire. Such a thing is done because most of the existing hydrants are already dried up due to no water supply, like the one located in Tambora.
